ByteMind1138 is the home of my stories, my notebooks, and my ongoing experiments in storytelling. The name Alan Denis is a pen name, a version of myself amplified and filtered through imagination. Think of it as a lens I use to explore ideas, worlds, and questions that live outside the ordinary.

This site is not a collection of stories so much as a living archive. The material comes quickly, and at times with a pressure that feels impossible to set aside. I have learned that if I do not record what arrives, it risks being lost entirely. Each notebook is an attempt to safeguard what would otherwise vanish.

I also maintain extensive notes for these stories, both digital and handwritten. Some are fully formed. Others are fragments or fleeting thoughts that arrive daily. The persona of Alan Denis is exaggerated, but not by much. These notebooks are very real, and they are the source of everything you see here.

I use AI as a tool in the creation of some of these stories, as an editor, a sounding board, and occasionally a collaborator in bringing complex ideas to legible form. Many of these ideas have been living in my head for decades without an outlet. AI is sometimes my way of giving them shape. But the worlds, the characters, the architecture beneath the stories, those are mine.

My strength lies in envisioning interconnected realities and the systems that govern them, the kind of large-scale narrative architecture that supports multiple stories across different media. If you look closely, you will find the same doors, the same numbers, and the same questions running through all of it.

I am always looking for collaborators, people with ideas, creativity, or perspectives that can help expand these universes. If you are interested, reach me at alan@bytemind1138.com

Welcome to ByteMind1138. This is where the stories live, the notebooks are preserved, and the archive grows.
